Do women turn into their mothers?

No. My mother is abusive too. I grew up with a horrible childhood, she drinks, she's lazy, she hates everyone and doesn't seem to care about anything but herself. I'm very empathetic, I'm probably the most in judgmental person on the planet, I don't understand hate, there is too much of it in our world and I don't want to contribute to it, I'm far from lazy. Im only 18, but I know that I will be nothing like her. If you understand what she is doing is wrong, then you shouldn't either.
