I have a cd with software that i want to download to my mac. please help?

I got a mac book pro and i want to download software for my casio privia keyboard onto my computer so that i can connect my piano with my computer via usb (the downloadable software came with my piano). However, when i put the cd in and try to open the files, its just a bunch of codes and scribbles. Im wondering if this is because the cd was meant for pc, not mac. IF SO, is there some way i can convert the cd into something my mac can read and download?
