What is your stance on Bipolar disorder?

Used to be that only the very worst cases were diagnosed, those people who have psychosis and very severe mania. More mild cases were just thought to be very vivacious people who had trouble with melancholia now and then. Since they opened up the diagnosis and added Bipolar 2 and then cyclothymia more people fit into the diagnosis. I don't think it is over diagnosed but I think way too many people SELF diagnosed and claim to have it when they do not.
