Why are we still having wars?

Maybe it's because I'm so young and ignorant. But why is that we are still having war? Isn't it clear from the history (WWI, WWII, etc.) that we shouldn't have war. Is there no othe way to solve problems? Why do people have to suffer and die when they should be and could be enjoying life? What are the reasons for and behind war?
