Why is there so much political & media drama in New York?
Is it just the nature of the media outlets in New York? Growing up in Florida, the media didn't seem to make everything seem so dramatic. I live in New York now and all of the news in the city seems so hyped up and sensationalized? Perhaps it's simply due to the history of tabloids in NY? Or maybe it really is the result of having this many ethnicities/backgrounds/political groups/agencies/unions in one city, so attitudes and beliefs clash and become more fervant, even over small issues? Or is it just because the news coming out of New York sells, even outside of the city? Your thoughts, from both New Yorkers and non-New Yorkers...
